Atheasis was founded by Manolis Terrovitis, a data management researcher of Athena Research Center, who has led the development of the Amnesia data anonymization tool. Manolis Terrovitis, Dr

Manolis is the founder of Atheasis. He is leading the development of Amnesia data anonymization tool in Athena Research Center. He has more than 20 years of experience in data managment research and as a consultant in the public and private sector. He has extensive research work published in the data managment area and has led multiple research projects. He has served as president in Hellenic Accreditation System and in the board of directors of Information Society SA.

Giorgos Giannopoulos, Dr

Giorgos is leading the Research and Development Activities in Atheasis. He has more than 15 years of experience in data managment research and development and he is a Scientific Associate at of Athena Research Center the University of Athens, at the National Centre for Social Research and at the University of the Peloponnese. He has worked in multpiple R&D projects from has performed research in both Machine Learning and Data Managment and has extensive experience with EU IT infrastructures. He has been involved in several National and European R&D projects in various roles: software engineer, researcher, work package leader, proposal contributor and coordinator. He has published more than 45 papers and contributed to the development of open source tools.

Alexis Panagiotopoulos

Alexis is a senior software engineer with 25 years of experience as a developper in the private and public sector. Alexis is profficient in multiple programming languages and software architectures and has led several innovative project in the private sector. He is the founder of Easykenak, a startup that facilitates the certification of green buildings. Alexis is leading product development in Atheasis.

Atheasis offers data protection officer services to companies. Atheasis works together with an external legal firm to offer to clients DPO services by teams that employ personnel experienced in the IT, legal and standardization aspects of data processing. We also perform Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIAs) based on established methodologies.
